Elisabeth was born on October 30th, 1711 in Bracht (D).  Elisabeth's father was Anton Simons and her mother was Agnes Doemges.  Her paternal grandparents were Simons and Catharina? Simons?; her maternal grandparents were Reiner Doemges and Catharina Lürkens.  She had two brothers and four sisters, named Joannes, Heinrich, Catharina, Gertrud, Cornelia and Gertrud.  She was the youngest of the seven children.
