Cornelia was born on April 17th, 1701 in Bracht (D).  Cornelia's father was Anton Simons and her mother was Agnes Doemges.  Her paternal grandparents were Simons and Catharina? Simons?; her maternal grandparents were Reiner Doemges and Catharina Lürkens.  She had two brothers and four sisters, named Joannes, Heinrich, Catharina, Gertrud, Gertrud and Elisabeth.  She was the fourth oldest of the seven children.
