Maria was born on April 12th, 1728 in Swalmen.  Maria's father was Sibertus Ceuven and her mother was Gertrudis Meuter.  Her paternal grandparents were Joannes Ceuven and Maria Joosten; her maternal grandparents were Areth Meuter and Maria Cruijsbergh.  She had four brothers and four sisters, named Johannes, Joannes, Joannes, Jacobus, Allegundis, Agnes, Anna and Joanna.  She was the eighth oldest of the nine children.  She died at the age of 42 on February 25th, 1771.
