Allegundis was born on June 20th, 1715 in Swalmen.  Allegundis' father was Sibertus Ceuven and her mother was Gertrudis Meuter.  Her paternal grandparents were Joannes Ceuven and Maria Joosten; her maternal grandparents were Areth Meuter and Maria Cruijsbergh.  She had four brothers and four sisters, named Johannes, Joannes, Joannes, Jacobus, Agnes, Anna, Joanna and Maria.  She was the oldest of the nine children.
