Gertrudis was born on August 30th, 1686 in Swalmen.  Gertrudis' father was Areth Meuter and her mother was Maria Cruijsbergh.  Her paternal grandparents were Albertus Meuter and Gertrudis Wittecreemers; her maternal grandparents were Godefridus Cruijsbergh and Elisabeth Segers.  She had four brothers and seven sisters, named Joannes, Lambertus, Albertus, Joannes, Gertrudis, Elisabeth, Gertrudis, Gertrudis, Mechtildis, Maria and Agnes.  She was the eleventh oldest of the twelve children.  She had a half-brother named Franciscus.  She died at the age of 75 on August 18th, 1762.
