Jacobus was born on November 12th, 1730 in Swalmen.  Jacobus' father was Sibertus Ceuven and his mother was Gertrudis Meuter.  His paternal grandparents were Joannes Ceuven and Maria Joosten; his maternal grandparents were Areth Meuter and Maria Cruijsbergh.  He had three brothers and five sisters, named Johannes, Joannes, Joannes, Allegundis, Agnes, Anna, Joanna and Maria.  He was the youngest of the nine children.  He died at the age of 16 on October 9th, 1747.
