Gertrudis was born on January 18th, 1678 in Swalmen.  Gertrudis' father was Areth Meuter and her mother was Maria Cruijsbergh.  Her paternal grandparents were Albertus Meuter and Gertrudis Wittecreemers; her maternal grandparents were Godefridus Cruijsbergh and Elisabeth Segers.  She had four brothers and seven sisters, named Joannes, Lambertus, Albertus, Joannes, Gertrudis, Elisabeth, Gertrudis, Mechtildis, Maria, Agnes and Gertrudis.  She was the fifth oldest of the twelve children.  She had a half-brother named Franciscus.  She died at just 27 days old on February 14th, 1678.
