Johann was born on November 3rd, 1751 in Bracht (D).  Johann's father was Peter Hauser and his mother was Catharina Terporten.  His paternal grandparents were Mathias Hauser and Agnes Deutgens; his maternal grandparents were Mathias Terporten and Christine Erkens.  He had two brothers and three sisters, named Mathias, Jakob, Maria, Catharina and Elisabeth.  He was the youngest of the six children.  He died at the age of 81 on October 11th, 1833.
