Catharina was born on March 12th, 1724 in Beesel.  Catharina's father was Joannes Simes and her mother was Mathiola  (Tisken) van O(e)broeck.  Her paternal grandparents were Anton Simons and Agnes Doemges; her maternal grandparents were Jacob van Obroeck and Mechtildis Nijssen.  She had five brothers and a sister, named Martinus, Petrus, Joannes, Jacobus, Jacobus and Theodora.  She was the fourth oldest of the seven children.  She died at the age of 56 on April 24th, 1780.
