Christianus was born on December 25th, 1744 in Swalmen.  Christianus' father was Christophorus Naus and his mother was Anna Ceuven.  His paternal grandparents were Joachim Naus and Elisabeth Kessels; his maternal grandparents were Sibertus Ceuven and Gertrudis Meuter.  He had a brother and two sisters, named Joachim, Maria and Mechtildis.  He was the second oldest of the four children.  He had two half-brothers and three half-sisters, named Joannes, Joannes, Helena, Joanna and Maria.
