Maria was born on April 29th, 1747 in Beesel.  Maria's father was Antonius Misdom and her mother was Maria Barbara Schreuder.  Her maternal grandparents were Georgius Schrijder and Catharina Coolstronck.  She had three brothers and two sisters, named Antonius, Joannes, Wilhelmus, Anna and Barbara.
