Petronella was born in Bracht (D).  Petronella's father was Peter Erkens and her mother was Magdalene Scheutgen.  Her paternal grandparents were Jakob Erkens and Elisabeth Hogen; her maternal grandparents are <Unknown> and Catharina Stevens.  She had a sister named Elisabeth.  She had two half-brothers and four half-sisters, named Jakob, Peter, Helena, Elisabeth, Christine and Helena.  She died in January 1697.
