Catarina was born in 1682 in Weert.  Catarina's father was Matteus Stijnen and her mother was Maria Thijssen.  Her paternal grandparents were Marcellus Silvester Stijnen and Joanna.  She had four brothers and a sister, named Silvester, Petrus, Joannes, Joannes and Joanna.  She was the youngest of the six children.  She died at the age of 38 in 1720.
