Peter was born on January 1st, 1664 in Bracht (D).  Peter's father was Jakob aen den Kirchhof Mertens and his mother was Mechtild Mertens.  He had two sisters named Gertrud and Catharina.  He was the oldest of the three children.  He died at the age of 73 on November 18th, 1737.
