Catharina was born on March 20th, 1670 in Bracht (D).  Catharina's father was Jakob aen den Kirchhof Mertens and her mother was Mechtild Mertens.  She had a brother and a sister, named Peter and Gertrud.  She was the youngest of the three children.  She died at the age of 70 on June 2nd, 1740.
