Aldegonda was born on November 8th, 1736 in Roggel.  Aldegonda's father was Henricus Mooren and her mother was Cecilia Jansens.  Her paternal grandparents were Gerardus Mooren and Alettien Beckers.  She had two brothers and a sister, named Joannes, Gerardus and Joanna.  She was the second oldest of the four children.
