Cornelius was born on July 30th, 1696 in Swalmen.  Cornelius' father was Joannes Ceuven and his mother was Maria Joosten.  His paternal grandparents were Gerit Cueven and <Unknown>.  He had four brothers and three sisters, named Gerardus, Wilhelmus, Theodorus, Sibertus, Catharina, Margreta and Theodora.
