Joanna was born in 1786 in Beesel.  Joanna's father was Joannes Trippen and her mother was Catharina Simons.  Her maternal grandparents were Joannes Simons and Gertrudis Engelen.  She had four brothers and a sister, named Alardus, Petrus Trippen, Jacobus, Joannes and Gertruijdis.  She died at the age of 64 on November 7th, 1850.
