Mechtildis was born on February 7th, 1718 in Swalmen.  Mechtildis' father was Ludovicus Custers and her mother was Catharina Pijpers.  Her paternal grandparents were Lambertus Custers and Elisabetah Croonen; her maternal grandparents were Leonardus Pijpers and Joanna Heijligers.  She was an only child.  She died at the age of 22 on June 24th, 1740.
